The City of Lansing hired Landworks Studio to create their first parks and recreation master plan for the year 2030. The design team developed an extensive public engagement strategy and branding package to help engage the residents of Lansing. Through this process, as well as an extensive demographic analysis and existing condition study, the design team was able to design and create a modern, living document for the City.

The public engagement strategy included multiple design charrettes with stakeholders, multiple pop-up meetings in parks during events, as well as building a website to be the landing page for the community survey, event calendar and progress updates. A logo and “Activate Lansing 2030” was developed to accompany these events to create excitement and give the plan a unique identity.
